The Concept...
The concept of placing carefully screened individuals and families
("Castle Keepers®")
in vacant houses to furnish, decorate and care for the interior
and exterior of the house while it is being marketed "For
Sale", originated in Seattle in 1979. The concept's success
in selling houses caused it to spread to Denver and Oklahoma City
after the price of oil plummeted in the mid 1980's. The concept
arrived in Texas in 1988 after real estate values literally collapsed.
This condition of longer selling periods for single family houses
now exists in various regions, nationwide.
